Our Lady of Vilnius Roman Catholic Church stood on Broome Street in Manhattan at the Entrance to the Holland Tunnel since 1910. Cardinal Egan locked it on February 26, 2007. It was demolished in 2015. I live here even though it is gone, serving food for thought at a virtual "kavine."

This is why we fight to save Our Lady of Vilnius church:
The bishop's workers are removing asbestos from the church preparing for the demolition. The bishop is kept at bay by the announced intention to appeal the judge's ruling. Perhaps a new suit will be started for the historicity of the church. We are fighting a vicious and greedy prelate, who had broken the corporation law by putting sycophants on the parish board, lying about the use of the church for religious work. Saulius Simoliunas
