Our Lady of Vilnius Roman Catholic Church stood on Broome Street in Manhattan at the Entrance to the Holland Tunnel since 1910. Cardinal Egan locked it on February 26, 2007. It was demolished in 2015. I live here even though it is gone, serving food for thought at a virtual "kavine."

Chico isn't the only orange tabby who can put pen to paper
I read the news today, oh boy! An orange tabby like myself has apparently written a biography of Pope Benedict XVI. MSNBC gave it full coverage in an item titled Cat tells life story of the pope, ‘my best friend.’
I'm going to write to Chico and get the name of his literary agent. While I'm at it, I'm going to ask him to put in a good word for Our Lady of Vilnius. Who can resist a purring orange cat?
