Speculation about Cardinal Egan's successor resurfaces...

This morning I received an alert to a post in the "Catholic Sensibility" blog. After a brief hiatus in the blogosphere, it seems that Cardinal Egan's successor is a subject of speculation. This post, New York Speculations, explores the rumor of Archbishop Henry Mansell of Hartford assuming the chair of Archbishop of New York. It identifies him as having served as chancellor and vicar-general to John Cardinal O’Connor. It also describes him as one in whom the priests of the archdiocese have some confidence.

You did a lot alone in exposing the big lie in the Catholic Church that faith matters. In reality only the money matters to the pope and Egan. No Catholic priest dared to come to your rallies, but the priests from the National Polish Church came to you and wrote about you. Even when a business building will be erected on the demolished Our Lady of Vilnius site, the full story of the unholy siege by the pope and Egan will be revealed by a future historian, playwright, film director.
