Is Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello Getting a Raw Deal? Some of his Flock Think So...

Yesterday, for the second time, Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello made news, big time.   A veteran of the Battle of Our Lady of Vilnius sent me a link to this New York Times article: The Priest, the Power Broker and the Pop Star.  The sender, among others, feel that this story presents the most balanced account.

The Monsignor, known to many in his parish as Father Jamie, was, until recently, the Pastor of Our Lady of the Annunciation, better known to Lithuanian/Americans as "Apreiskimo Parapija," a historically Lithuanian parish and now a hub for Lithuanian liturgies, cultural events and commemorations in the tri-state.

Father Jamie tells his side of the story to The National Catholic Reporter: NYC priest, relieved of parish duties, accuses Brooklyn Diocese of 'witch hunt' News

You can see Msgr. Gigantiello in better days in this video from 2019, when the church was rededicated after its renovation.
