Happy Mothers' Day to My Fellow Unconventionally Consecrated Oddballs

Today, as homemade gifts and cards are profferred, sticky kisses planted on soft cheeks, glasses raised and bouquets placed on graves, I would like to pay tribute to all the mothers that never bore physical children.

At many churches today, mothers will be asked to stand at the conclusion of Mass for a special final blessing.  At Our Lady of Vilnius all stood for the final blessing which began with mothers of flesh and blood, then rippled out in concentric circles blessing all who have loved, created and nurtured.

In the spirit of Our Lady of Vilnius parish and The International Jubilee Year of Mercy, I offer you the Recessional Hymn for this post..  The post has ended, thanks be to God.  Go in peace.

Hit it, Leonard..
