116 Year Old All Hallows High School in Jeopardy

All Hallows was my John's alma mater.  He and most of the other alums forged lifelong friendships there.  John had the opportunity to become a local hero as a pitcher, run track and cross country and act in Gilbert and Sullivan productions.  Succeeding classes had the same opportunity.   Most recently All Hallows welcomed women for the first time, the students that had been stranded by the closing of St. Barnabas.  My heart goes out to these young women whose education may be disrupted for the second time.

Whenever the media cover stories about the decline or closing of schools and parishes the archdiocese has a very passive voice and the factors presented as causal are always external.  It is like they are trying to be spectators at what, ultimately, is a shared demise.
