Our Lady of Vilnius Roman Catholic Church stood on Broome Street in Manhattan at the Entrance to the Holland Tunnel since 1910 Cardinal Egan locked it on February 26, 2007. It was demolished in 2015. I live here even though it is gone

Someone Wants Us Demolished - Decision Made in June
WHY?
Overheard at coffee hour: The decision to close us arose in June of this year, months after the Archdiocese released its list of churches to close under the so-called "Realignment". They also want to see our church and rectory demolished.

Hello! Is anyone listening or checking out the track record of the Chancery? They want the real estate, plain and simple. It's all about money. There's no "faith" in anything else. Occupy and resist!
