Architectural Firm Hired By The Archdiocese Visits Our Sanctuary

"You can observe a lot just by watching"

Father Eugene credited Yogi Berra with these words in a parish bulletin dated 1998. I scanned this historical artifact as two representatives of Thornton-Tomasetti climbed the scaffold and disappeared into the hole above the ceiling. There was a lot of tech talk about trusses, floor joists, ceiling joists and piers. Measurements were made and pictures were taken. From their dialogue emerged two sentences that I understood clearly:

"This is not for repair"

and

"No water is getting in. This is dry."

When asked about their objectives, they responded that we would have to contact their project manager.
