Rocco Palma's "Whispers in the Loggia" post, titled Crisis Ranks the Church, alerted me to Crisis Magazine's decennial report on the Catholic Church in America. Mr. Palma evaluates the report as "...eye-opening -- and, most importantly (and gratefully), not ideologically skewed."
Archdiocese of New York:
Ranks 140 of 176 in "vibrancy."
It ranks 170 of 176 in adult receptions into the Church, "a measure of the local church's investment in and success at evangelization activities."
