Elaine had the good fortune to attend Mass at Our Lady of Vilnius today. She described the basement hall as filled to capacity, with people overflowing into the vestibule and up the stairwell. She said that as many as 150 people came to receive ashes from Father Sawicki, who made himself available until 2:00 PM. Elaine felt moved by the sight of so many people who had made this small pilgrimage on this day, remarking that they seemed to feel comfortable and welcome and wondering where they would go if the church were not here.

Ash Wednesday at Our Lady of Vilnius
Elaine had the good fortune to attend Mass at Our Lady of Vilnius today. She described the basement hall as filled to capacity, with people overflowing into the vestibule and up the stairwell.
