Our Lady of Vilnius Roman Catholic Church stood on Broome Street in Manhattan at the Entrance to the Holland Tunnel since 1910 Cardinal Egan locked it on February 26, 2007. It was demolished in 2015. I live here even though it is gone

Today Our Lady of Vilnius Parish has its day in court
Holy Mary, pray for us
Today's New York Postheralds our appearance in court to prevent the archdiocese from pursuing their agenda with Dan Mangan's brief piece, SHUT CHURCH PRAYS - AND SUES
PLEASE UNITE WITH US IN PRAYER ON THIS CRUCIAL DAY!

It is the best time to be in civil court to protect Our Lady of Vilnius Church as a New York landmark. The judge has jurisdiction in regard to NYC landmark statute applicable in this case. The diocese will have an array of meaningless affirmative defenses. The parishioners may want to go for a settlement to reopen and repair the church.Saulius simoliunas
