Our Lady of Vilnius Roman Catholic Church stood on Broome Street in Manhattan at the Entrance to the Holland Tunnel since 1910 Cardinal Egan locked it on February 26, 2007. It was demolished in 2015. I live here even though it is gone

Last Evening's Candlelight Vigil
When they heard the news, the Lithuanian American community quickly mobilized to conduct a candle light vigil. The video says it all. I am honored to be a member of this parish.

Finally the time has come to incorporate and go to civil court to get the protection for the church as a historic landmark. Now the thieves of Egan will vandalize the church, steal the art objects and anything valuable as they normally do. Saulius Simoliunas
