My Friendly Stranger on a Train Wins Award at Allentown Film Festival

Some time in 2006 I shared a 3 seater on MetroNorth with a woman with a friendly face.  We started to talk and, since I was obsessed with saving Our Lady of Vilnius, I told her about recent events.  She introduced herself as Victoria Bugbee and  reminisced about the theater group run by Estonian Linda Pakri in the church basement, mentioning the production of her play "Life and Death with Business In Between."

Ms. Bugbee went on to share her memories of Our Lady of Vilnius with City Lore: https://citylore.org/places/our-lady-of-vilnius-roman-catholic-church/

Congratulations to Victoria Bugbee on being awarded Best Narrative Feature at the 2024 Allentown Film Festival. Bugbee directed the film, "Out of State - A Gothic Romance," with her late cousin.
