After Sunday Mass on 2/25, Father Eugene interrupted the happy hubbub of kavine (coffee social) to make an announcement. Everyone immediately fell silent. We had known since July that Cardinal Egan wanted to close the church but specified no timetable. Father announced that the Cardinal had summoned him to a meeting about the future of the church. The rest is history, but history that many may have forgotten or never witnessed. Roll it.
